the place where we will be is going to be beautiful; very jungle-ish. we've been told the style is very caribbean; they say the food is amazing and that we will eat good. and of course, we are excited!
our contact has a family of three daughters and we're looking forward to getting to know them and be a service to them in whatever way we can.
our trip is going to be very ministry oriented. prayer and intersession every tuesday and thursday, delieverence meetings on friday, youth ministry on saturday, sunday school/worship/service on sunday; we will be working in the evening on different work projects wherever our contact needs us. on our second week there, we will be traveling on a boat for three days and doing village ministry. yes, we are going to busy and it's going to be intense.
so please continue to keep us in your prayers. we will need them. pray for strength, protection, energy, patience, boldness, joy and peace.
our team is amazing. each person brings their own element to the team and everyone is needed. we love each other and we know that we're in this together as a team, not as individuals.
ropes is coming up (our pre-missions training that helps bring out team qualities and weaknesses but also helps the unity) and the team is so excited! it's an amzing time for teams to come together and unite before leaving for the field!
thank you all so much for your financial support and prayers; may the lord truly bless you all! we hope to keep this blog updated throughout the trip so check in for updates!!!
love,
team guyana
